CMC Protech Locking Carabiners

The CMC ProTechTM Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiners are and optimized D-shape with anodized aluminum. The patented key-lock system, provides a clean unclipping process and has a wide gate opening that fits over 1” (25mm) railings. This carabiner comes in three gate styles Auto-Lock, Manual-Lock and Screw-Lock. The Manual-Lock and the Auto-Lock versions come available with removeable  keeper pins to be used with lanyards, terminating escapes, or RIT lines. These carabiners include a safety indicator etched on the gate. The Auto-Lock is available in Red and weighs 2.8 oz (79 g) and 3.6 oz (102 g) with the keeper. The Manual-Lock is in Slate and weighs 2.8 oz (79 g) or with Keeper in Orange at 3.6 oz (102 g). The Screw-Lock comes in Brite, Black or Orange and weighs in at 2.6 oz or (74 g). It is NFPA rated “Technical Use”. The CMC ProTechTM Aluminum Key-Lock Carabiner are 3 sigma MBS rated without keeper at 28 kn (6,294 lbf),29 kn (6,519 lbf) as Manual-Lock w/out keeper and with keeper 31 kn (6,969 lbf). This carabiner is also available in Screw-Lock.
